Class Objectives
/Class Outline The aim of this course is to learn about the culture and society around Hiroshima and Japan, and to obtain a high-level knowledge and ability of Japanese language through a series of lectures, study visits and practices.

Class Schedule 1. Orientation.
2. Special Lecture “Introduction to Haiku”
3. Field Trip (Mazda Museum)
4. Special Lecture “Japanese Language and Style”
5. Special Lecture “Vocabulary in Modern Japanese”
6. Special Lecture “Universities and Local Community in Japan as a Global Society”
7. Special Lecture “Indian Buddhism and Japanese Culture”
8. Field Trip (Shimanami-kaidoo, Matsuyama Shikoku)

Field　trip reports will be given.

Text/Reference
Books,etc. When deemed necessary prints will be handed out in class.
