This is an elementary level Japanese language course.  This course is placed as "Level 2" course among five level of courses (Introductory, Elementary, Intermediate, Upper Intermediate, and Advanced Level).

This course aims to develop the Japanese language skills to be able to express themselves in various situations in social interactions.  Students learn various kinds of sentence patterns, expressions, vocabularies, and acquire the pre-intermediate competence in spoken and written Japanese.  This will enable students to develop communicative skills and further develop confidence in their use of Japanese in actual situations.

Requirements ・Students are required to take the Japanese Placement Test to register for Japanese language courses. To take this course, students are required to be placed in Level 2 (Elementary Japanese).  
・A-1 and B-1 are in sequence and need to be taken together as one course.
・A-2 and B-2 are in sequence and need to be taken together as one course.
・Only after you take A-1 and B-1, you are allowed to enroll in A-2 and B-2.  
・It is ideal and expected that you take A-1 & B-1, and A-2 & B-2 all together.
