Class Objectives /Class Outline |
Mechanics is one of the mainstays of physics and engineering as well as electromagnetics, and hence an important subject for students in the department of science and engineering as a foundation to be acquired.
Our goal in General Mechanics is to systematically provide the principles and laws of mechanics for engineering students. Students coming out of this class should have a deep conceptual understanding of classical Newtonian mechanics. This course, General Mechanics I, provides instruction in one-particle dynamics and mathematics required for the understanding of this lecture. |
