Class Objectives /Class Outline |
In this course, after about two months of prior study, students will study abroad for two weeks at overseas university(ies) and give a presentation and submit a report upon their return. In addition, students will attend lectures at overseas university(ies), explore and present the results of their self-study themes, and engage in discussions with overseas university students. |

【Pre-departure lecture】Lesson1-6: -Guidance -Pre-lectures by HU course faculty member(s) (countries/regions and course theme) -Self-study by students, Group presentation etc.
【overseas training】Lesson 7-28 -Lectures by a partner university faculty member(s) -Learning the language and culture of the country/region -Experiential learning linked to the theme (visits to museums etc.) -Interaction with partner university students -Self-study by students, groupwork, presentation
【Follow-up session】Lesson 29-30: -Presentation by students and feedback from a course’s faculty member(s) and discussion After coming back to Japan, students are required to present a report. Topics will be announced at a later stage by course instructor. |

Prior to the overseas training, please study according to your individual and group research objectives. During your stay at the overseas university, please prepare for and review lectures and exercises. |
Requirements |
Students who wish to take Study Tour Abroad for Realization and Transformation A, B, and C must take " Introduction to Overseas Dispatch and Study Abroad " and " Collaborative Online International Seminar A or B" before studying abroad. |

Other |
Participating students will be required to set their own TOEIC target score after their trip and submit their TOEIC score taken after their trip. The languages used are Japanese and English. The students need to communicate with local students and academic staff in English during the overseas training. In addition, in some courses, pre-departure/follow-up sessions could be provided in English. |
