In both preliminary lectures and follow-up lectures, each lecture will be conducted using a mix of the following learning methods: VN: Magic Word Learning phrases that can be used in actual conversation, and acquire classroom English used for pair work and group discussions.
Learning cross-cultural understanding (nonverbal communication), Conversation Management, etc. through activities SC: Speedy Comprehension Learning speed reading techniques through exercises and pair work RT: Reading Time Reading English books using speed reading techniques acquired by SC ACT1: Mastering Quick Response Program* through English activities QRP: Practicing visualizing English that you hear and quick response SO: Speak Out Practicing conversation in pairs, fully mastering self-study vocabulary and conversational expressions, and preparing for acquiring Conversation Management *Quick Response Program: a program that helps you demonstrate your abilities to reason, guess, gain insights, judge, decide, and take proactive approaches quickly in surroundings where you use English as a tool.
[Preliminary Lectures]: Both the supporting students and students use English only. [Follow-Up Session]Both the instructor and students use English only. (90min/lecture) LTAI: Let’s Talk About It An advanced version of Speak Outs in the preliminary lectures, focusing on conversation management. Learning how to continue conversations and develop topics. ACT1: Activity Acquire the skills in the Quick Response Program through English activities. ACT2: An advanced version of ACT1 in the preliminary lectures, practicing self-produced activities (that you made in Activity group work) all in English that consist of presentation, the moderator’s role, and class management. MQ: Making Questions Each student makes and reads aloud questions while slash reading paragraphs. Listeners take notes in English, and answer the questions.
