Class Status within Liberal Arts Education | Learn the fundamentals of physics broadly. |
---|
Expected Outcome | To understand, acquire, and be able to explain the logical structure and system of the basic disciplines in accordance with each subject and the knowledge and skills necessary for further academic development. |
Class Objectives /Class Outline |
The course will cover the basics of mechanics, waves, and thermodynamics, which are the fundamentals of physics. To avoid excessive reliance on equations, priority is given to learning the concepts by demonstrating actual phenomena so that they will be useful in their own (non-physical) fields in the future. |

Suggestions on Preparation and Review |
Physics is best understood by solving problems. Each week, quizzes will be assigned, so please solve them by yourself before the next class. At the beginning of the next class, we will go solve them together and provide explanations as appropriate. |
