Class Objectives /Class Outline |
This course takes place twice a week, and is designed for students with no knowledge of Arabic. Together with Basic Arabic II, to be offered also twice a week in the third and fourth quarter, students should learn the elementary vocabulary, expressions, and grammar necessary for basic communication in everyday situations in Arabic-speaking countries. Students will use an Arabic dictionary. We'll deal with Arabic culture and society as well as language, and provide opportunities to consider the cultural differences between Japan and the Arabic-speaking world. |
