This course is an introduction to the Korean language. It is designed for students who have never studied Korean before to learn how to read, write, and speak simple Korean. In addition, Korean dramas, movies, and K-Pop videos will be used as teaching materials to acquire basic knowledge of Korean society. 
Expected OutcomeAcquire basic Korean language skills.

Preparation and
Review
1. Listen to the text at least three times in the audio file before coming to class.
2. Prepare for the parts of the lesson that will be taught in class and look up the meanings of new vocabulary. 
Requirements 1. Absence from class should be avoided as much as possible, as it will interfere with the understanding of the class content.
2. Absences, tardiness, and poor classroom behavior will be considered for a grade. 
Grading Method The following is a general guideline for the overall evaluation.
Ordinary marks: about 20-40%, Regular examinations: about 60-80%.
The final examination will be conducted in person in principle, but may be conducted online depending on the situation.
