To cope with the globalization era, the goal is to develop communication skills that allow individuals to receive and transmit information in various foreign languages, acquire knowledge and skills, and deepen understanding of different languages and cultures. 
Expected Outcome1. To be able to conduct daily communication orally and in writing in a foreign language.
2. To be able to understand many languages and cultures by using multiple foreign languages. 
Class Objectives
/Class Outline
・Master Chinese pronunciation.
・Aim to acquire fundamental skills in Chinese. 
Class Schedule Lesson 1 ~ 14: This course will focus on grammar explanations, reading comprehension, listening practice, speaking practice, and writing practice in order to acquire grammar knowledge and expression skills, through textbooks. Specific class procedures and detailed learning methods will be explained and instructed during the course.

Lesson 15: Review

Details about the format and schedule of the final exam (kimatsu test) will be provided by the instructors prior to the exam.

・The textbook is the same as "Basic Chinese I".  Information about reference books will be provided during class as needed.
・A Chinese-Japanese dictionary is essential.

・Instructions on how to prepare and review will be provided during the class.
・Please make sure to review the textbook, handouts, and materials distributed during class. 
Requirements This class consists of two lessons per week. Please make sure to attend the paired classes (Oshima/Kaku). 
Grading Method 40% for regular assessment and 60% for the final exam.
