Class Objectives
/Class Outline
In this class, students can learn the vocabulary, expressions and grammar necessary for basic communication in everyday life in German-speaking countries. Together with Advanced Communication in German IB, IC, IIA, IIB, IIC in the first and second quarters and six other German classes to be offered in the third and fourth quarters, you can achieve the A2 level of the CEFR set by the Council of Europe. We'll also deal with German culture as well as language, and provide opportunities to consider the cultural differences between Japan and Germany.
Class Schedule In this class I will focus on reading skills. The students will be trained in three types of the reading abilities, namely extensive reading, selective reading, and speed reading. The following activities will be used:
1. Reading texts at the level B1 of the CEFR, set by the Council of Europe extensively,
2. Doing exercises based on the text at the level A2 of the CEFR in order to get specific information within a limited time, and
3. Reading so-called easy readers at the level A1 to A2 of the CEFR in order to read fast and much.

I will adjust the progress of the class according to students' proficiency levels, so I do not set contents for every week in advance.
