Class Objectives /Class Outline |
This course follows on from Advanced Speaking in English BI. Higher-level oral skills will be developed through various interactive activities including pair work, role-play, and small-group discussion. The focus will be on the development of discussion and debate skills: Acquiring the communicative structures necessary for exchange of opinions; debating various points of view and developing arguments; and building the vocabulary necessary for higher-level discussion. By the end of the course, students should be able to handle most conversational situations with ease and participate confidently in discussion and debate on a wide variety of topics. |
