The first guidance will be held on the same day, regardless of whether you are in Group 1 or 2 (Tuesday or Thursday).

We will divide the participants into groups on Tuesday and Thursday.

Class Objectives
/Class Outline
In addition to the Electrical and Electronic Systems Engineering Laboratory II, which will be offered in the second semester, students will learn through experiments the principles and operations of major electrical and electronic technologies that support modern society, including circuit design, optical semiconductors and optical communications, discharge and plasma technology, power electronics, power generation and transmission systems, control systems, and optimization. 
Class Schedule 1. Discharge and plasma
1. Measurement of the dielectric breakdown property of He gas by DC high voltage.
2. Measurement of the dielectric breakdown property of Ar gas by DC high voltage.
3. Measurement of the probe current-voltage characteristics by Langmuir probe.
4. Calculation of the plasma parameters (electron temperature, electron density).

2. Design of control system
1st week: Overview of Model-Based Development (MBD)
2nd week: Design of a DC motor control system, and design of a PID control system
3rd week: Functional evaluation of control system by HILS, and experiment on an actual equipment
Final week: Discussion and report

2. Design of control system
Prepare (or review) for "first-order system (process) with time delay (dead time)" and PID control.

3. Motor Control and Transmission and Distribution System
Students are required to choose the right costume for this experiment.
Don't take a barefoot walk in experimental room.
Experiment 1
Survey the synchronous machine by several website once at least.
Experiment 2 ,3, and 4
Survey the inverter control of induction machine and the transmission system by several website once at least.
Make effective use of our library. 
Requirements You will be assigned to either Group 1 (Tuesday) or Group 2 (Thursday) classes.
Group assignments will be announced on Momiji in late March, so please check back.

Message There is a possibility that we may use both face-to-face and online sessions this year, taking into account the impact of COVID-19, so keep an eye out for notifications from Momiji, email, and Teams.
A quiz and report submission will be assigned. Students will be required to submit quizzes and reports, which will be resubmitted if incomplete.
