Globalization of industrial circumstances requires sophisticated English abilities. This course is aiming at training the individual English communication skills by learning logical English reading and English expression as well as English vocabulary used for wide range of engineering fields, such as material science, production engineering, research & development, marketing etc.

Students need to prepare for a small exercise at every lecture.
In this course, students will be required to work on the online English training course provided by Hiroshima University. Listening and Reading courses will be used during lectures, and Speaking and Writing courses will be for homework.

Practice problems will be conducted in accordance with the syllabus plan each time. Combined with free online English courses offered by Hiroshima University. Online learning during class will be limited to listening and reading, and speaking and writing will be studied at home.

This course is an exercise in engineering English.
In this class, a self-study is required and a small exercise is conducted every time to confirm the effect of the self-study.
Lesson 1: Guidance for lecture and Online course
Lessons 2-9: 4th grade of the English Technical Writing Test
Lessons 10-15: 3rd grade of the English Technical Writing Test

Grading Method Up to 60 points for the exercise and test, up to 40 points for online course
