Message |
This course is designed to provide appropriate dental care derived from the knowledge of other clinical dentistry to the special needs patients and medically compromised patients, taking into consideration the patient's background, i.e., the disabled and diseases. The lectures are directly related to clinical practice, so students are expected to thoroughly prepare for and review the lectures for the following clinical practice. All slides used in class are written in both English and Japanese. English is used not only for the benefit of international students, but also to improve the language skills of Japanese students in the field of dentistry. |
Other |
In the special lectures, dental specialists (certified doctors of the Japanese Society for Disability and Oral Health) will give a broad lecture on how to deal with disabilities and basic diseases in actual clinical settings. |
Please fill in the class improvement questionnaire which is carried out on all classes. Instructors will reflect on your feedback and utilize the information for improving their teaching. |
