Class Objectives
/Class Outline
In Early Clinical Exposure, 2nd-year university students specializing in healthcare sciences observe or undertake operational tasks in the fields of medicine, nursing care, and welfare. This training program helps students mature as community members and healthcare professionals, and shape their future personality. Students attend this program to understand the necessity of the medical/dental knowledge they will learn.
When students attend this program, they do not yet have sufficient knowledge about medicine/dentistry; thus, the essential objective is not to acquire special knowledge or skills but to recognize ‘what to do in the process of medical training in the future’ through their own impressions and experiences in the clinical setting.
Students who complete the first course of Early Clinical Exposure in the first semester of their 2nd year in the Faculty of Dentistry acquire accomplishments required for dentistry students and build a positive attitude toward learning.
