Class Objectives
/Class Outline
Students independently study advanced health care and nursing at home and abroad. Students will immerse themselves in pioneering healthcare institutions and nursing practice sites at home and abroad to learn about pioneering practices and systems. Particularly, the program will evaluate visits, training, practical training, which are non-credit study abroad related to healthcare and nursing in foreign countries. 
Class Schedule 1. The evaluation will be based on participation in programs or activities in Japan or abroad for at least five consecutive days. The total duration of the activity should be about 2 weeks or longer, including the preparation period and the reporting period after the completion of the program.

2. Students are required to present their study objectives and plan to the program faculty in advance of the program. Upon completion of the program, the student should prepare a report and obtain an evaluation from the program instructor. Students are also required to inform their tutors in advance of their participation in the program and activities.

3. Programs, activities must be approved by the Faculty Council of the Department of Health Sciences.

4. (Examples of programs and activities)
・Short-term training programs (including study abroad) at overseas universities with which Hiroshima University has inter-university agreements.
・Participation in domestic and international training programs organized by faculty members.
・Student training (in Japan and abroad) related to INU

Requirements In response to internationalization, this course was newly established as a subject that students can receive credits when they study abroad (training) or receive practical training overseas. 
Grading Method Grades will be assigned by the course director based on the grades of the participating programs.

Summary of Practical Experience and Class Contents based on it The instructor has domestic and international clinical experience as a nurse. She has long been active in the International Network of Universities (INU). She also holds a master's degree from a graduate school in the United States. She has numerous other international experiences and can use these experiences to communicate with the other side (training provider).
