<Course description>
This course is placed as chronic stage nursing in the Adult Nursing series. Apply all theories, concept, pathophysiologies, nursing care skills studied at classes to clinical practicum.
Through this clinical practice, students achieve all objectives listed below, and acquire professional nursing attitude and ethics necessary for practicing at clinical sites throughout the professional life.
<Objectives>
During this clinical practicum, the students will be able to;
1. Apply health assessment skills and assess patients comprehensively.
2. Apply Nursing Diagnosis and make nursing care plans to deal with/resolve health problems.
3. Provide nursing care based on the plans and evaluate them.
4. Acquire skills of practicing Nursing Process through #1 to #3.
5. Learn professional communication skills with patients and in the healthcare team.
6. Report and presen 
Class Schedule Details are written in the student course guidebook.
Practice site: Hiroshima University Hospital. Floors are assigned prior to the clinical practice.
Ways of practice: Students will take one to two cases(patients) with chronic diseases and/or cancer in charge as a primary nurse.
Case discussion and case conference:
Clinical instructors and clinical preceptors daily check your assessment, care plans, and implementation of nursing care, and advise you.
The first case conference will be held in the middle of the first week, then final case conference will be on the last day of the course.
Daily reports of practice.
Case presentations with written case reports will be requested in the first week and end of this course.

Final report needs to be submitted.

Requirements Students must completed and passed Clinical Practice in Fundamental Nursing, Lecture & Seminar in Fundamental Nursing, Lecture in Adult Nursing, and Seminars in Adult Nursing (Acute & Chronic).
Must attend the practice more than 4/5 of total days. If a student could not meet this condition, the student will take this practice one more time or additional practice days. 
Grading Method Evaluate based on practice evaluation criteria. The evaluation sheet/checklist will be presented before the practical training starts.

Summary of Practical Experience and Class Contents based on it Teachers with clinical experience and who hold specialty in chronic care nursing and clinical training instructors cooperate to provide nursing care training in the chronic stage.
