Class Objectives
/Class Outline
From geological and geochemical aspects, understand the composition, classification, and diagenesis of carbonate deposits, especially coral reef deposits, the characteristics of carbonate rocks in each depositional environment, and the various initial and burial diagenetic processes unique to carbonate rocks. At the same time, we will understand global environmental changes that can be read from carbonate rocks.

Requirements
Grading Method Conducted by the exam.
Practical Experience Experienced
Summary of Practical Experience and Class Contents based on it A lecturer with practical experience in the oil exploration and development industry will lecture on the knowledge and methods of carbonate sedimentology necessary for oil exploration and development.
Message In addition to memorizing technical terms, please try to understand the formation process of carbonate rocks and its controlling factors. Also, please think about how it is related to global-scale earth science phenomena in the history of the earth.
Other
Please fill in the class improvement questionnaire which is carried out on all classes.
Instructors will reflect on your feedback and utilize the information for improving their teaching.
