Class Objectives
/Class Outline
In the 4th year of the undergraduate program, you are encouraged to obtain basic knowledge and experimental methods of interface / colloidal chemistry. To understand the importance of the own research topic, reading selected recent major papers related to your research theme is necessary.  We also recommend to read advanced text books on thermodynamics, statistical mechanics, colloid / interface chemistry.  Your experimental data and their interpretations are shared with laboratory members at monthly lab. meeting, and discuss your problems and their solutions. We also recommend that you give presentations at academic conferences depending on the progress of your research. The research theme of the year will be assigned  one of the following topics: 1) controlling the physical properties of Pickering emulsions, 2) stability control of emulsions and foams, and 3) physicochemical study of wetting and line tension.
