Attain a deep understanding of Statistical Mechanics I and II through a seminar style of solving related problems. Students are sorted into three groups.

lesson3   Canonical ensemble
lesson4   Grandcanonical ensemble
lesson5   Quantum mechanics,  free particle,  density of states,  many-particle system
lesson6   Quantum statistics,  Fermi-Dirac/ Bose-Einstain distribution function
lesson7   Ideal Fermi gas (Pauli's exclusion principle,  Fermi degeneracy,  Heat capacity)
lesson8   Ideal Fermi gas (Pauli's magnetic susceptibility)
lesson9  Midterm exam  (Schedule could be changed; To be announced)
lesson10  Bose-Einstein condensation
