Class Objectives
/Class Outline Aimed at obtaining practical capacity to analyze current politics in Asia.

Class Schedule While particular area in Asia is assigned to each student to analyze and report the items covered by the news media, he/she will read the materials related to Asian Politics together with his/her co-students to develop the shared understanding.  Toward the end of the semester the topic of joint research will be decided which is to be presented at the Joint International Relations Seminar in Nagoya.

No term exams but individual or joint presentations are required.

Books,etc. TSURUMI Yoshiyuki, "To Know Southeast Asia (Tonan-Azia wo Shiru)," 1995, Iwanami Publisher, and NAKAMURA Hisashi, "Asia as the People (Hitobito no Azia)," 1994, Iwanami Publisher should be obtained for the first classes.  The rest will be decided through your participation.
