This lesson focuses on ensemble, but we also practice musical instruments. We play as many works of various genres as possible and improve our ability to adapt to ensembles.

Class Objectives
/Class Outline Experience the charm through playing a brass band and share the joy of working together to create music. In order to make use of this in the educational setting, students will learn how to teach and how to operate.

Class Schedule lesson1:Explanation of the outline of the lesson, survey of musical instruments, lending of musical instruments, etc.
lesson2:Performance of the work of the brass band contest (mainly March)
lesson3:Performance of the Band Competition (finish march and trial of original work)
lesson4:Performances of works about the wind music contest (Summary)
lesson5:Wind Band Original Works (research and trial of classic works)
lesson6:Wind Band Original Works (Summary)
lesson7:Latin Music Study (candidate works given by teachers and students)
lesson8:Latin Music Study (Other Works)
lesson9:Study of jazz arrangement works (candidate songs given by teachers and students)

A regular concert is scheduled for November 29. Participation in regular concerts is not mandatory for the first semester, but please note that participation in the second semester is in principle. (Please refer to the relevant syllabus for details on the brass band) .

(More Details) You can borrow musical instruments (although the number is limited, it may not be possible to meet your request). What you need for regular ensemble, such as a music stand and chairs, are always available in the classroom.

Review In order to achieve higher quality lessons, students should not neglect daily practice. If music scores are distributed in advance, you must read them carefully before participating in the ensemble.

Requirements For all students. However, there is a limit to the instruments that can be borrowed, so students who cannot bring their instruments may not be able to meet their wishes. Please note that if the number of applicants exceeds the number of instruments, a lottery may be drawn.

Grading Method Evaluate based on the following criteria. 100 points
1) Efforts in class and quality of performance. 80 points
2) Practical test on music practiced in class. 20 points

Summary of Practical Experience and Class Contents based on it The teacher is a professional conductor and has worked with numerous orchestras and ensembles. Utilizing that know-how, we will provide guidance on measures to improve the skills of groups performing music activities and on the actual management.

Message We recommend that students of music culture courses who have experience in brass band take this course. Students must practice daily personal practice.
