Class Schedule |
Lesson 1: Orientation Lesson 2: Setting themes and discussions Lesson 3-4: Organizing understanding of surrounding themes Lesson 5-15: Seminars
One or more textbooks about algebraic geometry, commutative algebra, number theory, and applied algebra will be selected. Students will study with textbooks they choose and make presentations in a way that those who are reading other textbooks can understand. It is also recommended to use a computer to check the phenomena explained in the textbook if necessary to feel and really understand them. |

Suggestions on Preparation and Review |
You should give every presentation with a complete preparation. The following web page would be helpful for the way to prepare seminars. I recommend reading it. 「セミナーの準備のしかたについて」 https://www.ms.u-tokyo.ac.jp/~yasuyuki/sem.htm |
Requirements |
Those who have taken courses and exercises related to algebra offered by the Program of Mathematics Education and Computer Practice I & II are welcome. |
Grading Method |
Students will be evaluated based on presentations in the seminar, work, and the level of understanding. |
