Class Objectives

Students will deepen understanding of algebra through the seminar-style lessons to decide a theme of a graduation thesis. 
Class Schedule Lesson 1: Orientation
Lesson 2: Setting themes and discussions
Lesson 3-4: Organizing understanding of surrounding themes
Lesson 5-15: Seminars

One or more textbooks about algebraic geometry, commutative algebra, number theory, and applied algebra will be selected. Students will study with textbooks they choose and make presentations in a way that those who are reading other textbooks can understand. It is also recommended to use a computer to check the phenomena explained in the textbook if necessary to feel and really understand them.

Requirements Those who have taken courses and exercises related to algebra offered by the Program of Mathematics Education and Computer Practice I & II are welcome.
