Class Objectives
/Class Outline
This course specializes in the education content of earth science among other secondary education science subjects. Through this course, students will learn kinds, characteristics, distribution, and forming process of matters that constitute the inside of the earth and examine how those should be handled as teaching contents of earth science. In addition, this course will provide the students with an opportunity to examine specifically how to overcome a student’s misstep in learning.

"This course will be lecture oriented. Textbooks will not be used. About 15 handout materials will be distributed. Audio materials to be used include videos (30 min. or less each. Several videos will be shown) and PowerPoint. Students will be provided with a number of opportunities to be exposed to sample and actual specimens to deepen understanding. For important assignments, students will be required to submit reports and will be provided with opportunities to have discussions with other students. In every lesson, students will have to write a quiz and be provided with a question sheet. The explanation based on the quiz and question sheets submitted by students will be provided at the beginning of the following lesson. Reference books will be introduced when needed.
