Class Objectives
/Class Outline
This course is positioned as a stage of fundamental work for writing a graduation thesis. The purpose of this course is for students to acquire how to collect materials and how to write a resume, and to become able to write a resume related to the ‘ Problem and Purpose’ portion of their own research theme (tentative) at the conclusion of this course based on reading of literatures and Q&As between other students and the instructor.  
Class Schedule Lesson1: Guidance & Laboratory Visit
Visit laboratories to learn how to search for relevant materials and how to read a thesis and/o to talk about themes that students wish to work on and other items mainly concerning instructions that students can receive in each laboratory, individually or in a group.

Lesson4: Presentation, discussion, and review on theses that students read(at each laboratory) 1

Review
Lesson1: Visit the laboratory actively not only during class hours but also outside of the class until a laboratory you will be assigned to is tentatively decided.
Lesson 2-4: You are expected to actively practice what you learned in the lessons such as material collection.
Lesson5-15: Prepare well for the following lesson based on advices from your instructor. 
Requirements In the first session, general guidance and laboratory visits will be held in the designated classrooms at the time as per the timetable. If you cannot attend the guidance, please contact Shinkai (ashinkai@hiroshima-u.ac.jp).
 
Grading Method Students will be distributed based on contribution in class discussions, work, and final report(resume). 
Practical Experience Experienced  
Summary of Practical Experience and Class Contents based on it Dr. Kawai has experiences of working at public schools and university in the United States as a speech-language pathologist.
Dr. Ujima has worked for 12 years at a school for the blind.
They introduce practical contents based on their experiences.
 
Message Working only in class hours will not be enough to complete your work. You should actively work using your spare time outside of the class.
