Class Objectives

The objective of this course is to provide students with explanations of psychological, physiological, and pathological characteristics of children with developmental disabilities such as learning disabilities, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, high-functioning autism, and Asperger’s syndrome and those with emotional disturbance, and to provide the students with an opportunity to deepen understanding of an appropriate assessment and support for those children, including lesson making, instruction techniques, and approaches, and a curriculum for them.

For student in Cluster 2 to 5: This course is for those who wish to obtain a teaching certificate for elementary schools.
