The objective of this course is to examine how science lesson in elementary schools should be from both theoretical and practical aspects by designing a lesson plan of elementary science and giving a trial lesson based on it, and to cultivate capabilities to make a concept, practice, and improve a science lesson.
In order to achieve above, students will make a concept of a science lesson and plan it in consideration of researches of material studies related to the contents of elementary science, give a trial lesson based on the lesson plan, and have a discussion over issues and points to be improved. Concept making and planning of a teaching plan will be done in a group depending on the number of students.

Preparation and
Review
Lesson1: Understand an overview and objectives of this course. Start developing a lesson plan and researching lesson contents for the unit of which you are going to give a trial lesson.
Lesson2: Make your lesson plan and research on your lesson contents specific based on what you learned about planning, implementing, and reflecting on a lesson.
Lesson3-14: Sort out challenges of the unit of which you gave a trial lesson and deepen your understanding of what was pointed out in the discussion by reading reference books and others. Students who gave a trial lesson will review their lessons and challenge and summarize in a report based on feedback from other students. Those who haven’t given a trial lesson yet should review what was discussed and utilize them for planning and implementation of your lessons.
Lesson15: Review what you have learned from the entire course from the aspects of knowledge, understanding, intellectual capabilities & skills, practical capabilities & skills which are required to design and give a science lesson, and identify your challenge for further improvement of your capabilities and skills.
 
Requirements It is desirable that students have taken Teaching Method of Science for the Elementary School.
Elective Course in Teacher Education: Teaching methods of school subject (science) 
Grading Method Students will be evaluated based on reports and contribution in class( trial lesson, discussions) 
Practical Experience Experienced  
Summary of Practical Experience and Class Contents based on it Professor with practical experience in classroom practice at schools makes use of his experience to consider and discuss about science education theory and practice. 
Message In this course, students are required to spend time, inside and outside of classroom, planning your lesson, researching on contents of your lesson, and preparing for your lesson in consultation with the instructor.
