This class is a required two-credit course common to the university.
This class provides new students with opportunities to develop their intellectual interests by actively participating in learning activities as well as to promote communication between students, faculty members, and each other, and to help form a learning group.

This class is orientation for freshmen. The purpose of this class is to acquire skills for logical thinking and ability of self-expression from an early stage after entering the university. This class provides communication places, which allow students to perform much deeper communications for group studies.

No examinations will be given. Students will be asked to submit reports and give presentations as materials for evaluating their learning.

Three classes of the Program for Science Education (Umeda, Takeshita, and Miyoshi) will be carried out in close cooperation with each other.

Through this class, we would like you to acquire basic knowledge and skills for university study and to establish a self-learning framework in the natural science course of the Faculty of Education. To achieve this, be sure to attend every class and be sure not to be late or absent.
