This class aims to help students learn basics of Indo-European studies and the historical grammar of Hittite, which belongs to the Anatolian branch.

Students are required  to make a thorough review for each class and to do assigned exercises in andvance.  
Requirements It is recommended to take this class along with the class "Seminar in Modern Linguistics" in winter semester. 
Grading Method Students are evaluated on their class participation (30%), achievement of assingnments (30%) and examination (40%).
