Learn about the fundamentals of landscape archeology, about its research methods, history of research and theory; how surveys are conducted and what kind of results are yielded; examination of examples from outside and inside the Japanese Islands; get to know about the possibilities and diversity of landscape archeology 
Class Schedule lesson1; students will read closely research papers on archaeology to understand the state-of-the-art of archaeological research results. Research results will be explained, and evaluation and criticism will be discussed (explanation of archaeological methodology).

Requirements It is desirable that the students who want to specialize in archaeology in a graduate school take this seminar. 
Grading Method Practical evaluation by your presentation (60%), and the attitude of participation in class, Qs & As (40%), with considering the under mentioned points 1-4.

  3. Contents of briefing papers.
