The purpose of this class is to introduce students to basic principles of biochemistry.

Textbook: Fundamentals of Biochemistry (5 th ed) by Voet et al. (Japanese version) 2017

Students are required to read the textbook and the handouts very carefully, and solve complete exercises. 
Requirements This course must be taken in combination with "Introduction to Biochemistry II.” 
Grading Method Students’ will be assessed based on the following:
i. report of each class 20%
ii. final examination 80%
