This class aims to provide basic knowledge concerning the causes and present status of environmental issues and their countermeasures.

Lesson 1: History and causes of  environmental issues in Japan
Lesson 2: Causes, present status, and regulations of water pollution
Lessons 3, 4: Present status and political measures of waste management
Lesson 5: The mechanism, present status, future projections of climate change and measures against it  
Lesson 6: Present status of energy supply and consumption
Lessons 7, 8: Causes of biodiversity loss and measures to protect biodiversity
