The course of Academic Reading is designed to develop academic reading skills. Academic reading is an active process of interacting with the text, making connections between the text and your current knowledge, and asking critical questions about the content. Students are assigned an academic journal paper to read using key reading strategies, which should develop their academic reading skill.
