The primary goal of Academic Writing II is to prepare students for a variety of academic writing genres and argumentative essays. This course will lead students through paragraph structure and further expand their writing and critical thinking abilities via longer and more demanding writing tasks, short expository essays, and a final term paper.

Lesson 2: Effective Academic Writing Lesson 4B: Comparison Contrast Essays
Lesson 3: Effective Academic Writing Lesson 5A: Opinion Essays
Lesson 4: Effective Academic Writing Lesson 5B: Opinion Essays
Lesson 5: Effective Academic Writing Lesson 6A: Cause and Effect Essays
Lesson 6: Effective Academic Writing Lesson 6B: Cause and Effect Essays
Final Term Report Draft Due

Requirements This course is for IGS students who are also taking Academic Writing I and who are specializing in Peace & Communication and Environment & Society. 
Grading Method Writing Tasks 70% and Final Term Report 30%
You must complete the Final Term Report to pass the course.
