Class Objectives /Class Outline |
Class Objectives /Class Outline Students will analyse, and be expected to produce two different types of short essay, written in an academic style. Students will learn the basics of Academic Writing, formulating a thesis statement, paragraph structure, developing a coherent argument, and redrafting based on peer comments. This course will be introductory, but students will be expected to produce short, original pieces of writing that include the above mentioned elements. Students will also be expected to study academic vocabulary and will have vocabulary quizzes most weeks. |
