Class Objectives
/Class Outline
This course is one of the French Intensive Courses, which aims to have students learn French intensively to achieve the above-mentioned objectives. The French Intensive Courses consist of four individual courses, which are provided by four respective instructors once a week and are linked to each other. This course is linked to the following three courses: “Seminar in French Text Reading II” (9th/10th periods on Tuesday), “Advanced French IIA” (5th/6th periods on Wednesday), and “Advanced French IIB” (9th/10th periods on Thursday). Classes are conducted in a systematic manner with the use of video materials, which were developed to allow effective acquisition of comprehensive French proficiency. They are also offered in the CALL Room (J209), which enables learning-support activities using PC software for French language training, as needed.

The following video materials, which were developed to allow effective acquisition of comprehensive French proficiency, will be used as the main material in all four courses, as is the case with the courses in the first year. Classes are conducted in a systematic manner with the use of these video materials.

Students are required to review each class, utilizing the textbook, and to review the dialogues practiced in class in pairs even out of the class when it's possible.  
Requirements  
Grading Method Evaluation is made on the basis of a regular examination, mini tests, and reports (approximately 80%) and the mark given for class participation (approximately 20%).
