An overview of stress and psychological problems that occur when people have trouble adapting to society and the environment. This is a developmental class on human pathological problems.

Class Objectives
/Class Outline
Stress is inescapable, as it is induced by changes to one’s environment or circumstances. Therefore, it is important for us to understand stress correctly. Students will acquire the following knowledge: (1) Knowledge about basic concepts and mechanism of stress; (2) Knowledge about the appraisals of stressors and coping with stressful situations, and individual responses to stress; and (3) Knowledge about psychopathological problems caused by maladaptation to an environment. The purpose of this class it to introduce students to the mechanisms of stress, and to develop applied skills to social adaptation through group work.

Requirements Participation in adaptation psychology is required.
