The objectives of this class is to give students the ability to read long compositions at intermediate level, gain sufficient reading comprehension to understand what the authors try to convey and also foster the ability to express accurately what the content of those texts means.

Final exam will be given.

During the class, students will have to answer questions about the content of long compositions they have read, after vocabulary and sentence structures in those compositions have been explained. Also, whenever appropriate explanations concerning Japanese culture related to the topic will be given.

Students are expected to read the text aloud at least once and check the meanings of the new words. 
Requirements "Level3 or 2" proficiency in Japanese (Authorized by Morito Institute) is required. This class consists of two lectures a week. Students are required to attend both of them.
