Class Objectives
/Class Outline
Students grasp production environment, consider sustainable animal and plant production, and acquire fundamental skills for analysis and evaluation concerning animal and plant production through field surveys and experiments. 
Class Schedule Lesson 1: Guidance, Soil survey (lecture), Vegetation survey (lecture)
Lesson 2: Looking around animal production environment (University Farm), Field vegetation and soil survey
Lesson 3: Looking around animal production environment (University Farm) and Field vegetation and soil survey
Lesson 4: Pot cultivation of plant (Italian ryegrass)
Lesson 5: Evaluation of soil productivity (lecture), Preparation of experiments
Lesson 6: Measurement of pH, EC, moisture, and bulk density of soils
Lesson 7: Measurement of lime requirement of soils
Lesson 8: Determination of available phosphate in soils
Lesson 9: Extraction of exchangeable cations from soils
Lesson 10: Measurement of phosphate adsorption coefficients of soils
Lesson 11: Determination of exchangeable cations (K, Na) in soils
