The objective of this class is to understand the fundamentals of the automated control applied to many chemical plants.
Objectives for this class is as follows.
1. Understanding of the transfer function and the block diagram
2. Understanding of the mathematical expression and the input-output relationship for the process
3. Understanding of the feature and its usage of the Laplace transform
4. Understanding of various transfer functions (first-order lag, second-order lag, dead time system)
5. Understanding of the stability of the control system
6. Understanding of the PID control method
7. Understanding of the feed forward control
8. Application of control theory to various processes
