The overall objective of this lecture is help you acquire the knowledge of normal microscopic structures of human body in relation with their functions based on molecular and cellular biology. It is also important to understand what is unique in the structure and function of tooth and its relatives as "calcified tissue."

This lecture includes not only oral histology but also general histology. To understand the structure and function of multiple organ systems in human body, it needs to organize each content in a logical manner. Please do not emphasize rote learning.
