Class Objectives
/Class Outline
This course is provided mainly in English and focuses on recent progresses in physiological studies of animals at the molecular level. All students who register in this class have to participate in the discussion and make presentations concerning their own research subjects. Students also are requested to read  the contents of the scientific papers appearing in the leading journals. Eventually, students will gain the abilities for logical and critical thinking in science. 
Class Schedule lesson1-3 The function of mammalian stem cells.
lesson4-6  Epigenome formation in the brain.
lesson7-9. Physiological function of metal ions in animals and the membrane transper system.
lesson10-12 Detoxification of metal ions, redox system, and metallo-chaperons.
lesson13-15. The structure and function of neuropeptides. (All staff).

As homework, all students should read and study the recent original papers appearing in  leading journals . 
Grading Method Students will be evaluated based upon the participation and contribution in the class, especially, presentation, homework, and final paper. Grading distribution: score, 90-100%=Excellent(S); score 80-89%=very good(A); score 79-70%=good(B); score 60-69%=Fair(C); below 59%,=fail(D).
