In this class, all students will read introductory literature on politics, economics, and society in the Middle East in English in order to gain a comprehensive understanding of these issues. The literature to be read will be decided in consultation with the students at the first class.

In addition, I will give you instructions on the literature and Internet sites to refer to in preparation for the class, so if you have time, please read through them as well.
