Until further notice classes will be conducted online using MicrosoftTeams, Bb9, and/or Zoom. Modes of classroom interaction  include: Lecture, Discussion, Powerpoint presentations, Films and other audio-visual materials, report assignments that require visiting a peace monument.

The objectives of this cross-disciplinary course are to equip the students with essential knowledge about Hiroshima's peace heritage through scholarly debates and to enhance their skills in critical thinking for conducting an independent research in peace studies.

Message Hiroshima and Nagasaki have struggled with the atomic-bomb memories for over seventy years while establishing themselves as cities of collective consciousness that aspires for universal peace. There is much to be drawn from the experiences of the city and its people. This course will offer you opportunities to acquire analytical skills, a flexible attitude, and international perspectives to evaluate the aspects of contested memories and apply them in assessing the issues of conflict resolution and peacebuilding. 
Other You are encouraged to visit peace heritage sites and/or monuments during this course.
