he purpose of this lesson is to understand the characteristics and structure of modern Japanese thought, focusing on Shinichiro Nishi's thought. The textbooks used in this lesson are Shinichiro Nishi's books "The Theory of Loyalty and Filial Piety" (Iwanami Shoten), "The Basic Problem of Ethics" (Iwanami Shoten), and Yoshinori Eto "Shinichiro Nishi's Thought: Asking Peace and Reconciliation from Hiroshima" (Nakanishiya Shuppan). Through this lesson, we will clarify the original structure of Shinichiro Nishi's thought (such as the "paradigm of particular as universal", "the process of subject transformation" and "the idea of emptiness"), and the possibility of the thought as a peace theory. Understand the characteristics and structure of modern Japanese thought.
