/Class Outline From the viewpoint of international relations in the ancient times, we think about how the formation of the Japanese culture was carried out.

2. People's life in the Jomon period
3. Transmission of rice crop and Yayoi people
4. From Yayoi Period to Kofun Period
5. International Relations of the Kofun Period and Japan
6. The migrants and introduction of people and culture and technology
7. State formation in international relations
8. Inheritance of Buddhism culture
9. Reception of the Buddhism architecture
10. Japan and international relations in the Nara period
11 Internationality of Tenpyo culture
12. Tang style culture in the early Heian period
13. Chinese culture in "national culture"
14. Current theory of "national culture" theory
15. New tide in the Kamakura period

Review 1. The first one What is the broad view, the viewpoint, and the method necessary for understanding the history of a country?
2. What is the feature ofJapan Jomon Period?
3-10. International environments conscious of the interrelationship between the place where Wa · Japan was placed and cultural intake.
11-12. To be conscious of the influence that the difference in the international relations between the Heian period and the Nara period had on the culture.
13-14. What is the contemporary meaning of the "national culture" theory?  What is the basic stratum culture / classical culture in Japan?
15. It is the same, and, as for the culture of the Kamakura period, what is different from the Heian period in what?

Requirements This lecture is given in Japanese.
