Course takers are expected to acquire basic-level Korean skills. 
Class Schedule [1] Letters and pronunciations: single vowel, diphthong (1)
diphthong of ya column
[2] Review of the last class, greeting (1)
[3] Letters and pronunciations:
syllable (3) positive-and-affricative aspirated sounds
syllable (4) positive-and-affricative aspirated sounds (‘strong’ articulation)
[4] Review of the last class, greeting (2)
[5] Letters and pronunciations: sandhi, writing names in Korean
[6] Noun sentences: predication, interrogative, pronunciation rules, nasalization (1); Noun + desu/desuka
[7] Existential sentences: predication, interrogative, demonstrative (kono, sono, ano); arimasu/imasu, arimasen/imasen; particle (2) –ga
[8] Declinable-word sentences: prediction, interrogative, basic form and stem of declinable word; –masu (teimasu)/desu, –masuka (teimasuka)/desuka; particle (3) –wo
[9] Negative form, pronunciation rules (3) sound strengthening, negative form of declinable word
