In Globally-Minded Teacher Training Program, this course is regarded as a free elective subject for those in 2022 admission, and as a required subject for those in/before 2021 admission.

The course aims at acquiring English basic terms in education and psychology through the online vocabulary leaning (HIROTAN) system. The vocabulary pool for "Basic English Usage for Education I" has 800 words in 8 units. Each unit consists of on-demand check from English term to Japanese and pronunciation, that from Japanese to English and confirmation task.
Class Schedule You should access the learning materials appointed via the Internet and you have to study on your own.

The midterm examination is going to be carried out in the first week of June, the term-end examination in the first week of August.

Requirements Please confirm well if the credit of this course will be included as a part of required credits for graduation in each school and program.
In Globally-Minded Teacher Training Program, the course is a free elective subject for those in 2022 admission with a credit that will not be counted for program completion. For those in/before 2021 admission, it is one of required subjects for program completion.  
Grading Method The grade will be evaluated by the result of midterm examination (50%) and the term-end examination (50%).
