This course will provide basic knowledge about the meaning and system of special needs education and the actual conditions of infants and toddlers with special needs, and to deepen understanding of the considerations and devices required to support independent learning of infants and toddlers with special needs and the concept of curriculum organization. |

Lesson1: The philosophy of inclusive education and the significance and system of Special Needs Education(Kawai) Lesson2: Supporting the learning of children with Autism and Emotional Disorders(Wakamatsu) Lesson3: Supporting the learning of children with learning disabilities and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder(Murakami) Lesson4: Supporting the learning of children with speech and language disorder(Kawai) Lesson5: Supporting the learning of children with Intelectual disorder(Chikurinji) Lesson6: Supporting the learning of children with Physical disability, health impairment(Funabashi) Lesson7: Supporting the learning of children with Visual Impairment(Ujima) Lesson8:Supporting the learning of children with Hearing Impairments(Hayashida)

Mr. Chikurinji who has worked at a special school, special support class, and board of education will have lesson 5. Dr. Kawai who have experiences of working at public schools and university in the United States as a speech-language pathologist will have lesson 1 and 4. Dr. Ujima who has worked for 12 years at a school for the blind will have lesson 7. They introduce practical contents based on their experiences. |
