Class Objectives /Class Outline |
The purpose of this course is to cultivate the basic and applied skills of empirical research to interpret the psychological mechanism concerning acquisition of a mother tongue and learning of a second language including Japanese and others. |

Lesson 1 Revise a research plan which is edited after an interim presentation Lesson 2 Same as the previous lesson Lesson 3 Clarify a research process. Prepare for further research and experiment Lesson 4 Same as the previous lesson Lesson 5 conductfurther research and experiment Lesson 6 Same as the previous lesson Lesson 7 Final preparation for main research and experiment Lesson 8 Same as the previous lesson Lesson 9 Same as the previous lesson Lesson 10 We're going to develop the consideration about the result. Lesson 11 Same as the previous lesson Lesson 12 You're going to make a conclusion of your graduation thesis with preparing for the final presentation on graduation thesis. Lesson 13 You're going to make a conclusion of your graduation thesis with preparing for the final presentation on graduation thesis. The class is conducted based on discussion between students and a teacher. Graduate students also will participate in the discussion. |

Suggestions on Preparation and Review |
The class is divided into two. 1. Time before a study theme being decided. 2. Time after a study theme is decided. It is important that you solve the questionable point that you hold so that problems are not left for the accomplishment and summary of the study from time to time. In 1, Because the accomplishment of the preliminary investigation and experiment becomes the important process, let's keep it in mind to be able to perform it with time margin. The problems about the procedure are settled immediately.In 2, It is important to use the statistics treatment method set at the time of the drafting of the study plan beforehand. It is desirable for you to read and learn the book of statistics and its relevant processing methods for how to use statistics software and the interpretation of the results. Carry through logicality, objectivity for interpretation and the consideration of the result to write the article. |

Hoped for to students who have taken Second language acquisition (Semi.) (sixth semester). Take with Specific Study of Japanese as a Second LanguageⅠ(seventh semester). |
Grading Method |
The file of research assignment (30%), Participation in presentations & discussion (50%), Result of final presentations in graduation thesis presentation (20%) are evaluated comprehensively. |
